Hindu Weddings

According to Ashwalaayan GrihSutra, for a man and a woman, there are eight different ways of getting married; “Brahm Vivaah” is considered the highest form of marriage where we join the bride and groom in matrimony with full consent and active participation of all family members and friends. The ceremony is meant to integrate the lives of the marrying couple across the two families and many generations, both horizontally and vertically.

Hindu Wedding Overview

Many of the Hindu weddings that we covered have been in Hotels and Banqueting venues such as the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham and the Intercontinental Hotel London, however we still give the ceremony the same respect and care that we would if the wedding was in the Mandir (Hindu temple).

The morning bride/groom prep often takes place in the hotel the wedding will be held at. As the preps are being captured we always ensure that we don’t miss out on the atmosphere that builds as guest arrive and preparations are finalized.

During the Hindu ceremony we will cover the entire event including:-

Hindu Weddings – Our Approach

We have worked closely with venues across the UK to ensure that we have the correct details for the venue layouts, often visiting venues prior to the event to discuss how we would like to best use the space during the Hindu wedding Ceremony and later in the reception to accommodate for our Crane and crew. One of the main considerations for the Hindu wedding is to forge a good understanding with the Pandit (priest) as he will be running the ceremony and allowing us to take specific photographs at various points. In addition not only will we take an audio feed from the PA system, we will also ensure the Pandit carries a lapel-mic to get the best possible audio.

With our documentary approach to live events such as the Hindu Wedding Ceremony we remain unobtrusive whilst trying our best to capture all the memorable moments from the day. For our films we work using multiple cameras along with our production crane to produce a high quality seamless film.
